Drivers window slams when going up

Ok so maybe this is not worded right and therefore the reason I was unable to find anything in a search.....so with that introduction here we go. When putting up my drivers window using the auto up function it slams home at the top. I mean it hits so hard I'm kinda worries the glass will break. The passenger does not do this. Any ideas?

Sounds like you need to reset your driver's window.

^^Yup, I would try this first. But you could also need a new window motor.

To reset the window limits... with the window all the way down press and hold the DOWN switch for a few secs. Then do the same when the window is all the way up. This will reset the up and down limits. See if you still have a problem then.
