Can I still order 1 series?
I'm a little lost with 1/2 series timelines... remember reading somewhere that 1 series out of production soon or already...
Bmw USA website lets me configure 128i coupe. Does that mean I still can order the car? When they switch / discontinue? |

but....you can still find new ones in stock at dealerships....but you literally have to hurry if you want one. Not too many around. I ordered my 135is at the end of July and took delivery 2 months later at the end of September. Production ended at the end of August, i believe. |

Still a ton of 128s available at dealers, especially in california. the only hard part will be if you want a manual, those may be hard to find. Try autotrader as a lot of dealers list their inventory there and you can limit it to just manuals. Or, find a good dealer who will gladly check the national inventory for you to see if they can find/snag a stick.

- color combinations are weird - no sport package - MT... I heard weird things about AT being unresponsive... But would be flexible in respect to transmission options. |

If not 128i, what else in the world is fun to drive, has no turbos and DI? I mentioned Miata, but she prefers 4 seats... so 128i would be ideal solution for her. Last resort - give her my 328i and find something for myself, as I'm more flexible... |

Specifically, check out Pacific BMW which is a great dealer, saw that Beverly Hills BMW has a ton of 1's though I hate that dealership, and Crevier BMW also seems to have a wide selection last time I looked. There are a few others like New Century BMW, Nick Alexander BMW, and Century West BMW that often have a lot of cars here too. Someone may have exactly what you're looking for.

What combo are you looking for? I had rough one as well and managed to snag a car(MT, white, black leather, no sunroof, xenons, comfort access, MSport). Be prepared to travel. |

I bet there are PLENTY of 1er's still at the Port. The 2er won't be out for awhile in the states. So BMW has to have enough cars in the pipeline.
PS: You could always have a dealer search whats available at the port if you have a certain build spec.

Be flexible with the color combination. That is the least important part. I would go so far as to say it isn't even important at all. If you are too picky, you might end up with no 1 at all. And that would really be a shame. |
