Dust in Headlight

I was looking at my angel eyes the other day and noticed what looked like dust in the headlight. I thought it was condensation, but the more I look at it the more I think its dust. Its on both the driver side and the passenger side in the same exact spot near the outer angel eye. Any thoughts on what this could be/if there is a way to clean it?

Thanks.

It's not dust- most bmw's with the adaptive headlights end up getting this same wear pattern in the lens. I believe it's heat damage from the halo/xenon assembly.

You can't buff it out. You can't replace the lenses (easily) like you can on earlier models that just clipped on. It's kind of a no-win situation unless you want to throw down a bit of cash.

Hmm, that is an interesting yet very ridiculous issue to have. Not sure how BMW didn't think of that while designing the lights, but I guess I'll have to live with it for now

Certainly I am not speaking on their behalf but I would bet they did think about it. Just like they thought they would have to plug their computer into your vehicle to release the brakes when changing the rear brakes on the Z4. It is a money thing to them as they know that you cannot likely take your car to a regular shop to have it repaired. this means more money in ther pockets. Pretty smart money wise but pretty dumb as at some point people like me will get fed up with it and move on to another brand.

Guess that was me actually thinking BMW cared more about the customer...

Are we sure the headlights don't have pitting?
