is the eRace exhaust a straight bolt on or does it require cutting of the stock system?

Short answer: Adding any aftermarket (including E-race) rear section requires cutting the OEM exhaust.

Long answer:

The OEM F10 M5 exhaust is a one piece 12 foot long system that runs from down pipe to the exhaust tips. The only way to have a "bolt on" system is to replace the center section and the rear section. Eisenmann does make a center section but comes separate from the rear section.

BMW Eisenmann Exhaust - F10 M5 - Center (mid) Pipes
SKU: B5426-00000
New Price: $2,799.00

What most people do (at first) is order the rear section (which is what I am selling) and cut the stock exhaust and clamp the E-race over it (which is bolt on after you cut and remove the OEM rear section).

Then according to your sound needs you could add the mid pipe to make the system even more aggressive.

The eRace is valved right? so it behaves like the stock exhaust to minimize cold startup and opens at higher rpms?

The E-sport is valved. The E-race has no valve. So the beast comes to life with an aggressive cold start. It is pretty awesome.

Great price you should have no problem selling this. I just put the same exhaust on my M5 with the bigger tips and paid well over 4k!
