Is the US really getting deliveries the same time?
With CA and UK customers already getting confirmed delivery dates, I have a really hard time believing that the US will get deliveries of the M3/M4 in July with the first batch. Particularly as we don't have pricing, allocations, or official options yet. Yes I know Jason posted the "official spec panel" sheet in another thread. However, I saw the exact same spec sheet at the Houston Auto Show and deliberately didn't post it because it was confusing and looked inaccurate as if someone just threw something on a paper without much thought. Now Jason is awesome and I'm glad he gives us the scoop that is more often than not accurate so it's not a big deal and I'm appreciative of his efforts.
Does anyone else have a concern that US deliveries will arrive after CA and UK? My lease for my S4 is up in August and I would really like to have my M4 before then... |

Not concerned at all considering that once the allocations open up and the orders can go in it is typically a 2-3 month turnaround time from order to delivery. Unless they happen to get overwhelmed with orders and can't keep up with the demand I see no reason why they wouldn't be arriving in the July/August time frame.

It better arrive in the end of June/early July, otherwise I will be stuck riding my bikes until it does. Not cool.

My dealer just contacted me yesterday, I'm first slot on their list, and said that their demo car is June product with July delivery. Makes me feel I will get mine end of July/beginning of August.

I'm not saying they don't sell ///M cars and that they won't get allocation but if you search M certified centers in the Bay Area on BMWUSA.com they do not show up. Sonnen BMW, Peter Pan BMW, East Bay BMW, Stevens Creek all have M certified center designations. Surprising to me that BMW of SF doesn't show up as they are a good dealer but I'm going by what the official NA website says.

What does it mean to be a M Certified Dealership? BMW has announced a special center program to promote and differentiate M brand vehicles in showrooms. The program is called the M Certified Center initiative and combines three key elements: Comprehensive Sales Training, Interior and Exterior Communications Components and specific M Certified materials. Certification M Certification incorporates specialized training of M Sales and Service professionals trained to cater to the demanding M customer with a dedicated M showroom display and specialized M product knowledge. The M display will be highly visible and provide an exclusive M brand advertising opportunities and additional M leads for M Certified Centers. Certification Elements To become an M Certified Center, the dealership is required to send two personnel annually to one day of extensive sales training at the BMW Performance Center in Spartanburg, SC. This training is exclusive to M Certified candidates and will include special tips for working with “top-tier” M brand clients will learn about a complete suite of BMW M products as well as those of BMW’s key competitors. Among other things, this training will teach dealerships to properly sell the engineering advantages built into every M vehicle. Benefits of M Certified M has always set the standard when you think performance and epitomizes “The Ultimate Driving Machine.” Being an M Certified Center can set a dealership above the rest and highlight it as specializing in “M” sales and service. Some of the benefits of being an M Certified Center: • Additional support from Germany’s M division (ZS) for M Certified Centers. • Access to M Power Experience (Portugal). • Special sneak previews of M products. • Race Events - coordinate customers/center personnel events with driver appearances. • Ability to run ads using M Certified Center. • BMWUSA.com identifies M Certified Centers for prospective M customers. |
