Splitters or lower front spoiler?
I'm looking to get either splitters or a lower front spoiler for my e90 but I'm not sure what to get based on the terrible roads and damn speed bumps, garage ramps, etc. Does anyone have any experience or suggestions who live and/or work in the Boston/Cambridge area. I'm mostly concerned with grounding out the front end and not sure if splitters are less prone to hitting this issue than a spoiler. Thanks

OEM style splitter and APR carbon wind splitter with rods.
if you be careful with potholes, you will be fine with any splitter or spoiler going up and down garage ramps, speed bumps, etc are fine as long as you do not pass those over speed. some garage ramp and speed bump you might have to make the wheel go first but other than that it is fine. unless you do not care goddam scretchs under the spoiler or splitter |

OP, are you keeping the car at factory ride height or lowering it? There are several front lip spoilers which should provide ample clearance. Look at Mode Carbon, Arkym, Vorsteiner, etc.
In-terms of the front splitters vs. front lip, like selecting a color combo, it's subjective. Personally, I would opt for a lip. However most of the concerns are moot until the road crews fix the canyons, er, potholes. |

I'm planning on keeping the suspension stock. The car seems to sit lower than other's I've seen, no idea why? It's got the competition package with 19" zcp rims. I love some of the lips out there, but I'd hate to throw away $1k+ on a lip going over a speed bump or in/out a garage. I also like the splitter's too, but I'm kinda torn I guess. The car also has some scratches under the front lip from scraping, you can't see them looking straight at the car, but I know they are there and it bothers. At least with the lip, it would cover them. Thanks of your help

I might get jbspeed OEM rep splitters eventually, but I wouldn't pay any more than that (I think they are under <$200). I've already scraped the bottom of the front bumper a few times, I can only imagine how many more times it would happen with a front spoiler.
