X-Line + Sports Auto
Seems like some of the press images of 5.0i/non-5.0i X-Lines have the sports auto transmission w/ paddle shifters.
Has anyone considered retrofitting to their XLine? There's a deep knowledge base w/in the F10 community of doing precisely this. Seems like, at least with the F10, that the necessary wiring for the paddle shifters are included (possibly for the M-Performance wheel in mind or simplicity w/in the factory). It may seem silly, but this is the item I miss most, particularly w/ an engine the requires a downshift from time to time (that I'd rather not have to induce by flooring the throttle or fiddling with the console shifter). 35d here: http://www.trucktrend.com/roadtests/.../photo_11.html 5.0i here |

Fortunately this is one of the options we get in the UK - it's either part of a pack or standalone at £175
It does confound me why BMW restricts options by market. Even more so as all cars are made on the same line. |

riM3, it should be do-able. May need some coding or BMS retrofit cable.
