Extended merino leather, contrast stitching questions!

There are two cars I might get hold of.

Both has the extended merino leather.
One in black and one with silverstone.

Will there be contrast stitching? Where and what colour?

This car has the normal leather x3da not the extende lkda. Why does it have contrast stitching? And why does it have leather dash?

http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=976284

Normal leather has no leather dash, extended has?

It might be different in Norway as packages and options differ from country to country.

In the US:
- Full leather has the dash also covered (and basically most parts you could touch)
- Contrast stitching is available on all colors (always the chosen color except for black, there it will be a light grey)

"Extended leather" is the basic leather. It has leather seats and I think that's pretty much it. "Full leather" is the more expensive version. It has leather on the doors, dash, etc, and the stitching on the dash is contrasting. The car in the UAE has the "Full leather" option.

What's the list price for one of these in Norway?

In the US, does the black full leather option have contrast stitching on the seats as well?

I think you only get contrast stitching if you order full leather AND a color like SS or SO.

If you want all black leather AND contrast stitching then I believe you have to order Individual ... that said, there may be a few "check the box" Individual options for black leather ... you can get yellow, SS, blue, or red:

According to recent pictures (e.g. my dealer showed my from some of their trainings events), this is not the case.
I'm still waiting on the official BMW NA confirmation, but so far I'm for certain that full black also will get contrast stitching. Cannot tell on whether just the dash or also the seats though...

Sorry my last sentence was wrong. I was supposed to say extended and full. But the car in in the link has the code for/ and says normal extended leather not full. Code x3da full leather. One of the first pictures.

List price for extended leather is 6283 usd, Carbon breaks is 13466 usd, with pretty much everything the asking price is 267 000 usd. With that price we pay 42000usd less in taxes to the government than on the e92 m3...
I don't have the money to buy it new, but am trying to get on of the demo cars with BIG discount...
Some years back I imported a 996 from the us. The car was 38000 usd. When I shipped it over and had payed my taxes it cost me 100 000usd. Had it for 6 months and sold it for the same price...

Ouch! Buy a tesla instead?

The car in the link has what we call Full Leather in the US. If you see any leather in the dash it's the more expensive version.

Extended leather also adds leather on middle section of the door inserts, arm rests and handle. You also get leather center arm rest and driver knee bolster. According to the latest info, you get white contrasting stitching with the black leather (even on the seats) and mathing coloured contrasting stitiching on the black leather portions for other colours (SS, SO, SB).

Full leather adds the top dash and the top of the doors in black leather with black stitching except for the cluster countour that is in contrsting stitching. It also adds the glove compartment and a small portion of the dash to the left of the steering wheel in two tone leather in the selected leather colour with contrasting stitching.

Dont want the tesla. the Tesla with the biggest "engine" is around 113 000 USD with no options. We dont pay taxes and VAT on electric cars. If it was a petrol engine it would be around 250 000...

I work with BMW so I should be abel to fint this out at work, but we are going on salestraing 23 of june. We dont sell so many M cars in Norway....

Back OT.

I have now understood what is wrong. It is me... I thought the extende leather the best of them! It is strange that BMW has more controll of this than me....

Ok, so the car i am looking at has this interior.

X3A9 Helskinn Merino Silverstone
Helskinn=Full leather.

That means this will have black leather on the dash and silerstone contrast stiching above the speedometer/cluster?

Yes.

Plus you will also have contrasting stitching on the door handles, knee pad and all the black leather sections that are stitched with a Silverstone leather piece.

I asked my SA to forward me the interior pictures he took.
I'll upload them as soon as he sends them to me.
