Tekarbon Angel Eyes

So, I was on another website and someone just got their lights back from Tekarbon. Apparently, Tekarbon is using different angel eyes. Much more improved. I may consider these again.

Improved how?
They made a change a few years ago from CCFL to LED.
I've had the LEDs for a long time now & love them.

....curious as to what the change is now.

question, so are these a completely plug and play item or do you need to mod the cars wiring for these to work, or is the wiring changes "internal" to the light basically....??

Internal to the light and a single power/ground/fuse/something wire from the electrical box under the hood.

I have the fuse pulled on mine right now.

That's what I want to know too. He just said they're upgraded. In still waiting on his reply. Anyone know for sure if it's improved?

even more of a reason why i couldn't even consider these, having to add wiring for one extra circle of light, the reliability issues , pleased to still have my oem units in place with their shitty one halo.....

So I've read reports of them leaking and now psygnosis is saying his light just died. Not good. I can't imagine them selling too many of these and those who buy, are probably enthusiasts who are on this site. I wonder what the failure rate is?

Failure rate is kinda scary, hopefully the "upgrade" is more reliable AE's, doing these kinds of mods are easier than they look however. I've baked and cut open a few headlights in my time and never had any issues, just gotta make sure you seal them right and take your time. Running the extra wire for the angel eye trigger is as easy as plugging in a lamp. I just wish there was a way to replace just the lenses on our lights..
