Possible cause for concern or not?

So about a year ago i purchased a full Rpi GTM Race exhaust which is basically strait piped as you might know. When i bought the exhaust the previous owner told me that i should get a tune for the cold start and so the "Service Engine Soon" light and the Increased Emission warning doesn't come on .(I knew that with a cat-less exhaust the O2 sensors would kick on the lights and warnings). So about a week with the exhaust no warnings or lights come on. After that i get the SES light and increase emissions warning. Since i daily my car i don't really have the time to get a tune so i keep telling my self ill get one next week etc. Here we are a year later and i still haven't gotten a tune and im used to the warning and SES light staying on (after they turned on they never went off for a year) but about a week ago they just turned off randomly and its been about a week with no warnings or lights come on. So my question is should i be concerned that something isn't working properly (O2 sensors maybe?) or something worse? Thanks for the help!

I wouldn't worry about it. Sometimes (very rarely in my case) I have seen the light come and go from being catless. Even after being illuminated for a while.

Not much cause for concern. No certainty as to when it will come on. Sometimes a few miles, sometimes a few hundred from what I've heard.

You should get it taken care of though. If you leave the light illuminated you could potentially miss the indication of a real problem.

Also FYI getting a tune is easy. Any one of the major vendors will send you the cable and you can upload the software on your own time.

Only issue is if there is another code being kicked you wouldn't know as you are already getting a SES light. If you keep revving the car above 3500rpm and don't baby the car it takes longer for the light to come on.
