Compared to 2008 Rates
I posted this in another thread, but thought I would create a thread as it's interesting to look at how the current least rates compare to those back in 2008 when the e90 M3 was introduced. I purchased my m3 around the same time. They are much worse than the current rates. However, if I recall correctly the demand wasn't as high with more room for negotiation off MSRP. After a while you could find dealers selling at or just above invoice. Maybe the rates are more competitive now since there is going to be more competition coming out in the next couple of years, ex. ats-v, new c63, etc. Lots of these manufactures have significantly improved their performance in the chassis/handling category with many new models on the way. I wouldn't be surprised if at least one of them gives the m3 a run for it's money. Therefore, I suspect they may introduce a competition package sooner than they did with the last generation (3 years - 2011).
