I purchased and installed it on my 25 XB7 and I’m really enjoying having control of the flaps. Not as slick as the Renntech version I had on numerous 63 AMG vehicles, but still gets the job done. Highly recommend for an easy cheap alternative to aftermarket exhaust set up.

Does anyone know if there is a pre-lci OBD2 module for an M50i that will keep the flaps open until you tell them to close?

Almost any Bluetooth obd should work. I have the Veepak bluetooth and I used it with bimmerlink on my 21 X7 40i for the exhaust flaps, and it was great.

All it does is control the factory valves correct?

I was going to buy the Dinan valve controller for my 23 X7 M60 but the tried the connector mod which only took about 20 mins. Definitely think this was worth it lol.

May I ask how easy/difficult it was to install? Professional needed?

Connecting the cables and splicing in power was extremely easy, only aspect of the installation that I could see being a hang up for some would be the proper running of cables. I found the whole process to be quite easy and straightforward. The wire splicing was an extra step not needed with my previous installs with 63AMGs/Renntech, but with the components and directions included, it was very simple.

My car is owned by my company. Due to economic sanctions against Russia, auto parts from Russia are limited to personal use in cars registered in personal names. Since the car is owned by a corporation, we are having trouble clearing customs.
